DIY Concrete Plant Stand Ideas For A Minimalist Look

What's up fam! Today, we're gonna talk about how to make a dope plant stand on a budget. You know I love bringing nature into my space, and this DIY concrete plant stand is the perfect way to showcase my green babies. Plus, it's only gonna cost you $5! Let's get into it.

How to Make a DIY Concrete Plant Stand

First things first, we gotta gather our supplies. Here's what you'll need:

  • 2 plastic bowls (one smaller than the other)
  • Cement mix
  • Water
  • Sandpaper
  • Painter's tape
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Okay, now that we've got our supplies, let's get started.

Step 1: Mix the Cement

Follow the instructions on your cement mix packaging to mix the cement together. This usually involves adding some water to the mix and stirring it until it's smooth.

Step 2: Add the Cement to the Bowls

Spray the inside of your larger bowl with non-stick cooking spray, and then fill it with the cement mix, leaving about an inch of space at the top. Place the smaller plastic bowl in the center, pushing it down slightly into the cement.

Step 3: Tape the Bowls Together

Using painter's tape, tape the two bowls together so that the smaller bowl stays in the center of the larger bowl. Make sure to smooth out the tape so that it adheres to the bowls and the cement.

Step 4: Let It Dry

Allow the cement to dry completely. This can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours depending on the humidity in your area.

Step 5: Remove the Bowls

Once the cement is completely dry, remove the painter's tape and carefully remove the plastic bowls from the cement. You may need to sand down any rough edges with sandpaper.

Step 6: Display Your Plant

Now that you have your beautiful new concrete plant stand, it's time to display your favorite plant on it! You can even experiment with painting the stand different colors or adding designs.

Tips & Tricks

Alright y'all, here are a few tips and tricks to make your DIY concrete plant stand even better:

  • Use succulents or other small plants that don't require a lot of soil so they fit better in the stand.
  • Experiment with adding different colored dye to your cement mix to make your stand more unique.
  • Use a level to make sure that your plant stand is even.
  • Try adding different textures to the outside of your stand, like glitter or small stones.

Alright y'all, that's it for this DIY. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Remember, just because we're on a budget doesn't mean we can't have a fly space.
